Number of Salespersons in Commodity Futures Industry in Japan as of the End of March was 1,077, No Complaints and 15 Inquiries in March

According to the data compiled by The Commodity Futures Association of Japan (CFAJ), the number of salespersons in commodity futures industry in Japan as of the end of March was 1,077 (Among them, 33 salespersons belonged to intermediary traders), down 2 from the end of the previous month.

Meanwhile, in March, number of complaints was nil and there was no direct offer of dispute mediation. As a result, there was no complaint throughout fiscal year 2024.

There were 15 inquiries, and among them, 6 cases regarding system and frame, and 2 cases regarding CFAJ member traders. By business type, among commodity derivatives traders, 5 cases regarding domestic commodity futures traders, 3 cases regarding over-the-counter (OTC) traders, and 6 cases regarding other than commodity derivatives traders.
